How it started

After attending a zillion parties, we noticed the design details are usually the last thing on anyone’s mind behind the logistical ones. Our goal is simple: design an event that feels bespoke, personal and unforgettable.

How we got here

Gabi, Donnine and Olivia met in grad-school, at a place called the Creative Circus (yes, it felt like one). Over the past 8 years, they’ve celebrated each others’ birthdays, weddings, and new houses, and they know just how awesome it feels to be surrounded by joy in those moments.

Unicorns unite

In the design world, a unicorn is a designer who specializes in multiple areas. The stars aligned for these three unicorns to find each other, and because we’re three unicorns with different skill sets, your event gets the star treatment with our powers combined.

I've spent my career as a brand designer and web developer in the tech world, but my passion lies in creating impactful, memorable design work that really makes you feel something. I love designs that leave people talking for years to come and feel like a true reflection of you.

I had the idea for Mirror Mirror when planning my 30th birthday trip to Tulum. I wanted to gift my friends something special that they would actually want to use, wear, and keep. I realized it was almost impossible to find custom pieces that were good quality, unique, and sustainable. With Mirror Mirror, our goal is to embody our clients' unique perspectives, stories, and visions through heirloom-worthy design.

Donnine

Co-founder & Creative director

I’ve spent over a decade as an art director in advertising, where I specialized in experiential design—bringing global brands to life through events, stories, and all the little moments people remember.

When I planned my own wedding, something shifted. I realized how much I loved creating joy not for a brand, but for real people. I love the dreaming, the designing, the late nights spent obsessing over the tiny details that made the day feel like us. It showed me how powerful good design can be when it’s personal—and how important it is to know what actually matters (and what doesn’t).

I've worked as a UX Designer and Researcher in tech, while also freelancing as a brand designer, illustrator, and ceramicist. Across every creative role, my focus is on intentional design that improves people’s lives. Whether it’s a handcrafted serving platter or a branding suite for a small business, I believe good design makes the everyday feel meaningful.

The idea for the Mirror Mirror Co. felt like a dream. Combining elevated design and joyful friendship with two dear friends? Sign me UP! Mirror Mirror is a reflection of our friendship, infused with creativity, expertise and FUN.
